This pneumatic tire is provided with an inner liner, and is provided with: a first layer containing a first polymer composition of which the polymer component contains 30-95 mass% inclusive of a rubber component and 5-70 mass% inclusive of SIBS; and a second layer containing a second polymer composition of which the polymer component contains 10-90 mass% inclusive of a rubber component and 10-85 mass% inclusive of SIS and/or SIB. The first layer is disposed in a manner so as to be at the inside in the radial direction of the tire; and of the inner liner, the average thickness (Gs) of a buttress region (Rs) extending from the position of greatest tire width to a position (Lu) facing the belt layer end is thinner than the average thickness (Gb) of a bead region (Rb) extending from the position of greatest tire width to a bead toe.
