Abstract A food waste disposer has a housing 12 defining a grinding chamber 14 having an inlet 16 and an outlet 18. A grinding mechanism including a shredder ring 20 and a grinding 5 disc 22, is disposed within the grinding chamber 14. A liner 21, preferably of a plastics material, extends from the shredder ring 20 to the inlet 16. The liner 21 reduces the noise generated by the disposer when in use. (refer to Figure 1) - 30 |
