METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING AROUND VIEW IMAGE

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing an around view image by synthesizing peripheral images photographed through a camera. The method includes the steps of receiving exposure control signals and color control signals for peripheral images from a camera; generating an integrated control signal using the exposure control signals and the color control signals through a predetermined algorithm; transmitting the integrated control signal to the camera; receiving peripheral images photographed by the camera; and producing an around view image by synthesizing the received peripheral images. According to the present invention, a controlled image can be synthesized by reapplying an integrated signal to cameras which may be present in difference environments, thereby making it possible to reduce differences of the photographed images and providing a natural around view image for the driver.
