<p>An exterior rear-view mirror 10 for a vehicle, the exterior rear view mirror comprising a housing 14 and at least one mirror held on the housing, wherein the exterior rear-view mirror is movable between at least one use position and at least one retracted position, wherein the housing comprises a plurality of housing parts 16, 18, 20 being translationally movable in relation to each other between the retracted position and the use position, the housing parts nesting within each other at least partially in the retracted position. The exterior rear view may be pivotable from the retracted position to a stowage position, and further movable into a non use position by a linear translation in the transverse direction of the vehicle. Any or all of the movements between respective positions may be actuated by means of at least one motor device.</p> |
