PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life imaging apparatus for reducing the cost required for production. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging unit 5K for black and imaging units 5Y, 5M and 5C for other colors that have a photoreceptor drum 1, a charger 7, a developing device 9, and a cleaning device 17. The charger 7 of the imaging unit 5K for black is arranged and constituted in a non-contact state where a common charging roller 7a approaches the photoreceptor drum 1 so as to form a predetermined gap, the charger 7 of the imaging units 5Y, 5M and 5C for other colors are arranged and constituted while the charging roller 7a is in contact with the photoreceptor drum 1.
