METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING AN IMAGE DETAIL AND INITIATING IMAGE CAPTURES BY MEANS OF A SINGLE TOUCH-BASED GESTURE

The method involves pointing a camera (4) at a scene (2), displaying an image of the scene on the screen,and marking the desired region of the scene by a touch-based gesture on a surface. An image capture is initiated during the gesture. The touch-based gesture is carried out by two fingers, particularly from a single hand. The both fingers touch a separate surface at two points. The positions of the points are connected with each other by a selection frame in the shape of a geometric figure, particularly a rectangle.
