A ship with an auxiliary propulsion device is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ship with an auxiliary propulsion device comprises a hull; a main propeller which is installed in the hull; an auxiliary propulsion device which is positioned at the front side of a rudder in order to face the main propeller, and has a blade capable of being rotated by the wake stream of the main propeller; and a revolutions per minute (RPM) controller which generates a load to the auxiliary propulsion device.
