摘要 An anode active material for a lithium secondary battery comprises: a core unit which is a mixed composite including a first particulate matter made of a metal (metalloid) capable of alloying with lithium, and a second particulate matter made of an oxide of a metal (metalloid) identical to or different from the metal (metalloid) of the first particulate matter; and a conductive carbon layer coated on at least partial exterior of the core unit. One first particulate matter or an assembly of more than two first particulate matters is surrounded by the second particulate matter, and the mole ratio of the metal (metalloid) oxide to the mole ratio of the metal (metalloid) in the mixed composite is adjusted to exceed 0 and to be less than 1, and the second particulate matter has an amorphous structure. The secondary battery according to the present invention has a high capacity; minimizes a dead volume on the anode as an irreversible matter such as lithium oxide or lithium metal oxide is less produced in the initial charge or discharge of the battery; has an excellent cycleability by minimizing the volume expansion during charge or discharge; and improves the electric conductivity due to the conductive coating on the surface so as to have an excellent rate control property, by using the anode active material for a lithium secondary battery of the present invention.
