PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device that is superior in both a cleaning property and a preservative property of a liquid repellent film, in recording using an ink composition containing inorganic pigments.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording device comprises: a plurality of nozzles for discharging an ink composition containing inorganic pigments; a recording head that has nozzle forming faces with discharge ports of the plurality of nozzles and liquid repellent films provided on the nozzle forming faces; an absorbing member that absorbs the ink composition containing inorganic pigments adhered to the discharge ports of the nozzles and the nozzle forming faces; and a drive mechanism having a pressing member that relatively presses the absorbing member containing impregnating solution and the nozzle forming faces. The drive mechanism relatively moves the absorbing member and the recording head 22 so as to perform cleaning for removing the ink composition adhered to the nozzle forming faces using the absorbing member. The ink composition contains inorganic pigments of 20 mass% or less, and a Mohs hardness and an average particle size of the inorganic pigments are 1.5 or more and 200 nm or less respectively. |
