PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating a coal crusher which can suppress deterioration of coal crushing capacity by uniformly wearing both sides of a hammer regardless of difference in rotational direction of a rotor.SOLUTION: In a method of operating a coal crusher which adds a striking force to coal to be crushed by rotationally driving a rotor 1b through a driving source 2 and rotating a plurality of hammers 1c, swingably connected to the rotor 1b, together with the rotor 1b, an operation current value of the driving source 2 is continuously monitored during the rotational driving of the rotor 1b, a time when the operation current value changes is determined as an actual operation time to integrate the actual operation time, and the rotating direction of the rotor 1b is properly switched to normal rotation direction or reverse rotation direction on the basis of the integrated actual operation time. |
