摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a starting end from becoming high when forming an active material layer by intermittently applying a slurry-state active material to a metal foil while using a coating roll.SOLUTION: A back roll 15 is disposed at an upper side of a coating roll 13, a metal foil 17 is passed through an upper side of the coating roll and on a bottom face of the metal foil 17, a slurry-state active material 11 deposited to the coating roll is transferred. A comma roll 14 is disposed lower than the top of the coating roll in such a manner that a gap between a guide curved surface 14a of the comma roll and an active material deposited surface 13a of the coating roll becomes a predetermined gap corresponding to application thickness of the slurry-state active material. When applying the slurry-state active material to the metal foil, the back roll is disposed at a contact position. When the slurry-state active material is not applied, the back roll is disposed at a separate position and rotation of the coating roll is stopped, thereby intermittently applying the slurry-state active material onto the metal foil.
