PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-function peripheral 100 which properly eliminates counter-electromotive force to be generated by rotation of a roller without changing a circuit board.SOLUTION: A multi-function peripheral 100 includes: an interlock switch 313 which cuts off electric power to be supplied to a motor A control part 309a for controlling a motor A312a when a cover member is opened; sheet determination means 403 which determines whether a sheet is located near a roller by a sheet detection sensor 308 provided near the roller of the motor A312a when the electric power to be supplied to the motor A control part 309a is cut off; and remote means 405 which controls a motor B control part 309b electrically connected to the motor A control part 309a, upon determination that there is a sheet near the roller, to rotate a corresponding motor B 312b on the basis of the supplied electric power even if no rotation instruction is input.
