PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator manufacturing method with which an expansion pitch of a segment coil end portion can be widened at low cost.SOLUTION: According to the stator manufacturing method, a segment coil SC is formed by bending a flat square conductor D, the segment coil SC is inserted into a slot 12 of a stator core 20, and a stator 10 is manufactured. The stator manufacturing method includes: a first expansion step of making a first pre-expansion blade 71 proximate to a lead portion Sga of the stator core 20 so as to be radially eccentric, and forming a first gap portion x1 between a fourth lead portion Sga4 and a neighboring fifth lead portion Sga5; and a second expansion step of making an additional expansion blade 80 proximate to the lead portion Sga, forming a first shift portion inner side Sf11 in a third lead portion Sga3 by means of a first expansion blade 81, and forming a second shift portion inner side Sf21 in the fifth lead portion Sga5 by inserting the second expansion blade 82 into the first gap portion x1. |
