The present invention relates to an electro gas welding starter using split type ceramic that can be disposed to fit in a gap between base materials or thicknesses of base materials and, more particularly, to an electro gas welding starter using split type ceramic that is configured to have an upper metal portion and a lower ceramic portion with a plurality of cutting grooves which is formed in the middle thereof so that even manual cutting is possible. Accordingly, the present invention can be easily applied to welding portions with different gaps between the base materials or with different thicknesses.
