摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a control to prevent knocking while decreasing a reduction amount of torque, by assuming that the knocking occurs because of use of a fuel of low octane number regardless of actual cause, when the knocking occurs in an in-cylinder injection type internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An in-cylinder injection type internal combustion engine 10 is an engine for an automobile executing fuel injection in a compression process and including a knocking sensor 64 and a control device 70. The control device 70 holds mapping information on injection times and ignition times suitable for each fuel when the fuels different in octane numbers are used, and determines the injection time and the ignition time in reference to the mapping information in using the fuel of low octane number, when the knocking occurs.</p>
