The present invention relates to a brake pad with a support member. A caliper housing is installed to accommodate a disk. The brake pad is installed inside the caliper housing to stop the disk by adhering to both sides of the disk. The brake pad comprises a pad to stop the rotation of the disk by adhering to the disk; a fixing plate having a combining protrusion unit connected to one side of the pad; and a support member installed on the combining protrusion unit of the fixing plate. The support member comprises an elastic body formed to be bent in the middle; a fixing groove formed at both ends of the body to be inserted and fixed to the combining protrusion unit formed on the fixing plate; and a fixing unit for fixing the support member to prevent separation thereof by adhering to the combining protrusion unit. The present invention is capable of preventing the abrasion of the brake pad and judder phenomenon by installing the support member on the fixing plate of the brake pad and by completely fixing the support member so that the vibration generated when the disk and the brake pad are rubbed and the movement of the brake pad are adjusted to make the friction surface of the brake pad constant. Furthermore, the present invention can prevent a failure of functions due to the short lifetime of a detachable support member employed for reduction of material costs and also can prevent defects of components installed in the caliper housing due to mutual collisions thereof caused by movement of a brake pad supported by the support member. |
