PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat exchange efficiency, and to prevent deterioration of heat exchange capacity by optimizing a shape of a tube cross section of a microtube type heat exchanger and a configuration of a refrigerant path.SOLUTION: A gas cooler 2 (heat exchanger) is formed by mutually communicating both ends of a plurality of microtubes 13 by a pair of headers 11 and 12 and attaching a heat exchange fin 14 across the respective microtubes. An evaluation index &xgr; satisfies a mathematical formula 1 in all of refrigerant paths when a hydraulic diameter of the microtube is D, a number of the refrigerant paths reciprocally formed by partitioning the inside of the header is N, a number of the microtubes constituting the refrigerant path is T, a length of a part of the microtube in which the fin exists is T, a refrigerant flow passage cross section area of the microtube is S, and the total number of the microtubes is T. |
