PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-type root crop harvesting machine excellent in operability while suppressing a longitudinal length of a machine body to a short length.SOLUTION: A walking-type root crop harvesting machine including an engine 2 which is loaded on a rear upper side of a main frame 1 provided with right and left side driving wheels 70R and 70L running in a ridge furrow, and a handle 8 which is provided toward the rear side of the engine 2, the walking-type root crop harvesting machine includes: a foliage pulling up device 14 provided on an edge lower part of the main frame 1, for pulling up the foliage parts of root crops; a foliage raising device 14 provided on the rear part of the foliage pulling up device 14, for clipping and raising the foliage parts of root crops; a foliage cutting blade 25 for performing cutting action to the roots of the foliage parts raised with the foliage raising device 14; and a digging device 31 provided on the rear side of the foliage cutting blade 25, for digging bulb parts. |
