PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely eliminate contaminants on a nozzle face of a printer head.SOLUTION: An inkjet printer 100 includes a cap 103 to cover a printer head 1. There are provided a rotary brush 50 inside the cap, and a piezoelectric element 150 on a sidewall of the cap 103. The piezoelectric element 150 is vibrated by a controller 20 and a power source 9 with an ultrasonic wave having a predetermined frequency. The ultrasonic vibration is transmitted to cleaning liquid in the cap 103 to resolve and eliminate the contaminants adhering to the nozzle face 3a. Moreover, the rotary brush 50 is rotated by a motor and the hair 53 vibrates with the ultrasonic vibration, which mechanically eliminates the contaminants on the nozzle face 3a. |
