PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a multistage automatic transmission capable of suppressing variation in deceleration when transmission is performed to the downshift side in deceleration, and capable of minimizing a sense of incompatibility given to an occupant.SOLUTION: A control device 10 for a multistage automatic transmission 1 can perform downshift transmission for changing a gear stage from a high speed gear stage to a low speed gear stage in deceleration of a vehicle, and a deceleration variation ratio j per unit time just before performing downshift transmission is derived, and an engagement oil pressure acting on a friction engagement element is feedback-controlled so that the deceleration transits at the variation ratio j in execution of downshift transmission, and the friction engagement element is slid. |
