PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to reduce standby time during rendering, and to reduce overall rendering time and printing time, while saving a memory region required for page memory.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: prediction means for predicting the time required for editing and developing print data corresponding to each of pages constituting one print job, for each page; determination means which determines whether to edit and develop in advance print data for a specific page, on the basis of the predicted time predicted by the prediction means and the time required for forming a printed matter corresponding to the print data; storage means for storing the print data for the specific page edited and developed in advance, on the basis of a determination result of the determination means; and schedule adjusting means for scheduling the editing/developing timing of the print data for the specific page, on the basis of the determination result of the determination means. |
