PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain valve connected to the lower end of a drain pipe for discharging drain, which is piped from an indoor side to an outdoor side, and surely preventing odor from intruding along with ambient air into the indoor side through the drain pipe.SOLUTION: A drain valve has a body 1 including a valve chamber 2 as a center part, a drain inflow port 3 connected to a drain pipe at its upper end, and a drain outflow port 4 at its lower end. An upstream side on-off valve 10 and a downstream side on-off valve 20 are disposed in the valve chamber 2. Valve seats 14, 24 gently tilting downward from its forward end toward its rear end are formed at lower end opening edges of cylindrical water flow ports 13, 23 provided in the upper and lower on-off valves 10, 20, and tabular valve bodies 17, 27 pivotally connected in a vertically rotatable manner to forward end sides of the water flow ports 13, 23 are seated so as to be openable and closable. Thus, even when the valve bodies 17, 27 are opened in discharging the drain, the upper and lower on-off valves 10, 20 prevent odor from intruding along with ambient air into the upper drain pipe side. |
