<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of eliminating non-compatibility between camera attitude change and size of a focus detection area.SOLUTION: A camera comprises: focus detecting means for performing focus detection of an optical system with respect to at least one focus detecting position included in a focus detection area; and modifying means for modifying size of the focus detection area after starting the focus detection, in accordance with whether or not an attitude of the camera comprising the optical system changes.</p> |
