The present invention provides an emulsion gel composition of dexibuprofen, with clear pharmacological activity without needing to be metabolized or otherwise processed, wherein the dexibuprofen is finely dispersed in the gel carrier while dissolved in the emulsion and cosolvent. The present invention provides a fine gel formulation of dexibuprofen, a poorly water-soluble drug, enabling enhanced skin absorption of dexibuprofen and reduced content of alcoholic solvent and thus minimizing skin irritation. Moreover, the fine droplets allow for a pleasant feeling when applied to the skin.
