A security enhancement method in an electronic device performing fingerprint authentication according to one embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: sensing a fingerprint of a user; generating situation information through a situation information obtaining device if the recognition or authentication of the sensed fingerprint is failed over a preset number; and transmitting the generated situation information to a user account of a preset sever or a terminal which is preset except the electronic device.
