PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a photographer to quickly recapture a subject and perform photographing at a desired angle of view even when the subject is framed out.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: angle of view display means which displays a range of an angle of view at the time when the start of a framing assist zoom function is instructed with a framing assist zoom frame (S109); recognition means which recognizes a subject; and subject display means which displays the subject recognized by the recognition means with an auxiliary frame (S111). When the start of the framing assist zoom function is instructed by operation instruction means (S100), control means stores a zoom position in storage means (S101), changes the zoom position in a wide direction by drive means (S108), overlaps the framing assist zoom frame of the angle of view display means and the auxiliary frame of the subject display means (S114), and returns the zoom position to the zoom position stored in the storage means (S122). |
