PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide convenience to a user of a portable information device and to previously prevent information leakage due to wrong handling from occurring.SOLUTION: The portable information device includes a control unit 16 for, when acceleration which is equal to or more than a predetermined value is detected by a force detection unit 13, causing a portable information device 2 to shift to a temporary stop state for stopping acceptance of display on a display unit 21 and operation to an operation unit 22. When disassembly of the portable information device 2 is detected by a disassembly detection unit 14 in the temporary stop state, the control unit 16 deletes specific information stored in a storage unit 50.
