The injector has a magnet actuator (7) directly or indirectly controlling a stroke movement of a nozzle needle (1). The magnet actuator includes an armature (9) i.e. plunger-type armature, which cooperates with an annular magnetic coil (8). The armature is stroke-movably guided in a hole (10) of a magnet body (11), which partially surrounds the armature. Guide surfaces (13, 14) are formed at the armature and the magnet body, and limit an auxiliary air gap (12). The nozzle needle is subjected with a spring force of a spring (6) in a direction of a sealing seat (5).
