The device has first and second rails (17a, 17b) that are movable along each other. A front receiving element (31) is arranged at a front end (17c) of the second rail. A rear second receiving element is arranged at a rear end (17d) of the second rail. The receiving elements comprise contact areas (33). The contact areas are located at a higher level than an upper edge (17e) of a base support (17g) of the second rail in a vertical direction. A support portion (34) extends laterally across a width of the base support. An independent claim is also included for a device with a rail pull-out device.
