PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform smoke detection with high sensitivity while suppressing the influence of disturbance in the case of defining violently turbulent smoke as a target of detection.SOLUTION: The smoke detection device includes: an image memory (10) for storing a plurality of images time-sequentially captured by a monitoring camera (1) and reference images; a featured value calculation part (20) for calculating a plurality of correlation featured values and a plurality of distributed featured values as parameters; a support vector machine (31) for creating learning models for determining the presence/absence of violently turbulent smoke by using the parameters; and a smoke generation detection part (30) for determining the presence/absence of the violently turbulent smoke by using the parameters calculated by the featured value calculation part (20) and the learning models created by the support vector machine (31) on the basis of the time series images in monitoring. The support vector machine (31) creates a plurality of learning models with respect to a plurality of reference images, and the smoke generation detection part (30) uses the plurality of learning models.
