The present invention relates to an apparatus for sampling waste water in a drain pipe and a method for operating the same. According to the present invention, the apparatus for sampling waste water in a drain pipe comprises a suction pipe having an inner flow path for suctioning waste water inside a pipe; a filter cap having multiple holes and combined to one end of the suction pipe for allowing the waste water to flow in the suction pipe while blocking inflow of foreign substances such as sludge in the waste water; an accommodating main body having a space for accommodating the suctioned waste water by being connected to the other end of the suction pipe, and repeating a pattern of stopping after rotating in one direction at a fixed angle at a fixed time on the spot; and a maintenance and management unit equipped in the filter cap and the suction pipe to remove foreign substances on the surface and inside of the filter cap and the outer peripheral surface of the suction pipe by spraying high pressure air through the suction pipe, and reciprocating the filer cap toward the suction pipe. The apparatus for sampling waste water in a drain pipe is capable of providing convenience for maintenance management such as removal of substances using various fluids, such as air or water. |
