<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of image quality when discharging recording paper, improve stack performance of the recording paper and avoid generation of fold lines on the recording paper when stiffening the recording paper, by using a simple structure.SOLUTION: A recording paper carrying device includes a paper discharge mechanism 9 for discharging recording paper P on which a toner image is fixed by a fixation device toward a paper discharge part, and the paper discharge mechanism comprises a drive roller member and driven roller members 12. The drive roller member includes a drive shaft and drive roller parts 14 rotating integrally with the drive shaft. The driven roller member includes driven roller parts 15 each opposing to the drive roller part 14 while sandwiching the recording paper and driven to rotate. Width in the axial direction of one of the drive roller part and the driven roller part is long, and press contact portions of both of the rollers serve as nip parts 18. Columnar stiffening parts 17 each having a larger diameterΦ2 than a diameterΦ1 of the nip part are installed in the roller part having longer width, and hardness of the nip part of the roller part having shorter width is smaller than that of the nip part of the roller part having longer width.</p> |
