The bulkhead (1) has a hood (2) with a ventilation opening (3) and in which a molded portion (4) is provided. A support face (7) is provided in mounting plane (E) of hood and whose edge is provided with an extending groove into which an intumescent seal is inserted. The hood is vertically spaced from opening. A channel (5) is formed between inside (6) of hood and molded portion and through which ventilation opening is fluidically related with each other. The molded portion in an area corresponding to the ventilation opening is preceded by a run-off slope (10). An independent claim is included for a battery housing.
