<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning brush capable of suppressing excessive charge injection to attachments attached to a cleaning target member and the surface thereof to improve cleaning performance, and an image forming apparatus using the cleaning brush.SOLUTION: A cleaning brush 10 comprises brush bristles 14 raised on a base material 13, and applies a voltage having a polarity reverse to that of attachments attached to the surface of a cleaning target member to electrostatically remove the attachments. The base material 13 comprises: a base fabric 11 formed by weaving with at least warp yarns 15 and weft yarns 16; and a conductive backcoat layer 12 provided on a side opposite to the side on which the brush bristles 14 are raised. The brush bristles 14 are composed of a pile yarns 17 formed of a plurality of brush fibers woven into stitches of the base fabric 11; and the brush fibers each include an insulating layer having an outermost layer with a substantially uniform thickness in a range of 1μm to 5μm, and a conductive part provided to be in contact with the inner side of the insulating layer.</p> |
