[Class 20 (iv)] Ceilings on which moisture will not readily collect are formed by plaster slabs or like elements having a plane undersurface, longitudinal ribs 2 or the like on the upper surface for engaging a reinforced concrete floor 5, and air passages 3 extending completely through the slab transversely to the ribs and adjacent the plane surface. The slabs shown in Fig. 4 are provided with rabbeted engaging edges and some have apertures 7 in the side walls, by which the air passages 3 communicate. Fig. 6 shows slabs in which the ribs are enlarged and hollow, and form filler blocks for the concrete floor. The passages 3 communicate by apertures 10 with the two end passages 8 in the ribs, the latter passages communicating by vents 11 with the exterior of the building.
