<p>Two-stage watermarks are normally produced with the aid of an open wire roll, a so-called dandy roll, or a cylinder mold, on which so-called electrotypes, for example in the form of numbers, letters, and position marks such as cutting and printing marks, are applied. When said position marks are used, an exact orientation can be achieved between the procedure of positioning the electrotypes and subsequent stamping, said exact orientation having the advantage of higher absolute accuracy of the stampings and thus higher-quality watermarks. Said metal electrotypes are fastened on the metal screen that forms the basis of the roller by welding, adhesive bonding, or soldering, wherein no alternatives to cost-intensive manual fastening are known according to the prior art. Therefore, the aim of the invention is to specify a method and device by means of the electrotypes and the metal screen are automatically connected. This is achieved by means of a device in which the metal screen can be moved in a defined manner in a spatial direction on a clamping frame, while a gripper that can be moved in a defined manner in the other two spatial directions and that is movably arranged on a portal (10) that surrounds the clamping frame places the electrotypes, and the electrotypes are finally connected to the metal screen by welding or soldering.</p> |
