The present invention relates to a contact terminal for a SIM card connector of a potable communication terminal such as a smartphone. More specifically, the contact terminal (30) for a SIM card connector is installed to protrude higher than a bottom surface (11a) of a housing (10) through a window (14) formed at the bottom (11) of the housing of the SIM card connector (100) such that the contact terminal can be in contact with a wire contact point provided at the bottom of a SIM card (1) by being elastically deformed when the SIM card (1) is inserted. The contact terminal (30) comprises one pair of terminal pieces (30A, 30B) which is symmetrically arranged at left and right sides by a cut groove (32) formed in a longitudinal direction along a central line (C-C) of a width in a transverse direction, wherein each of the terminal pieces (30A, 30B) comprises: a base plate (31) embedded in the bottom surface (11) of the housing by inserting molding; support portions (33a, 33b) protruding from the base plate (31) and extending upwards over the bottom surface (11a) through the window (14) formed at the bottom (11) of the housing; contact portions (34a, 34b) bulging upwards from upper end portions of the support portions (33a, 33b); extending portions (35a, 35b) extending downwards from the contact portions (34a, 34b) along the longitudinal direction at a certain angle so that a connection portion (36) of a front end can be disposed below the bottom surface (11a) of the housing when being free from load not receiving a force from the SIM card (1). |
