The present invention relates to a composition for promoting hair growth comprising L-aspartic acid as an active ingredient. The L-aspartic acid, an active ingredient used for the composition of the present invention, has an excellent effect of promoting hair growth or prevention of hair loss. Furthermore, the present invention can safely be applied to cosmetic ingredients and pharmaceutical and food compositions as no cytotoxicity or skin side effects exists. |
