The purpose of the present invention is to provide an intellectual property rights management system including an automatically generated business process guide, which improves business efficiency by automatically generating a subsequent process when a superordinate concept process segment is selected and facilitates systematic management by coding basic data required for intellectual property rights management; and allows a user to easily set up a data code to be appropriate for the requirements of user environment, and a driving method. In order to achieve the purpose, the intellectual property rights management system comprises: a database unit to store all the data related to intellectual property rights; a code database unit to classify the data stored in the database unit into a tree structure segment group; a user input/output device including a web based user interface; and a management server unit to manage the database unit and the code database unit and automatically generate a subsequent process to a superordinate process to a given superordinate process and linking the subsequent process to the superordinate process.
