[Problem] To provide a negative electrode for an electric device such as an Li-ion secondary cell, maintaining high cycle characteristics and having well-balanced characteristics including high initial capacity. [Solution] A negative electrode for an electric device, having a collector and having an electrode layer including a negative electrode active substance, a conductive assistant, and a binder that are arranged on the surface of the collector. The negative electrode active substance includes an alloy indicated by formula (1): SixAlyMzAa (In the formula (1): M is at least one metal selected from a group comprising C, Nb, and a combination of same; A is unavoidable impurities; x, y, z, and a indicate values in percent by mass; and 0<x<100, 0<y<100, 0<z<100, 0≤a<0.5, and x+y+a+z=100). The binder includes a resin having an elasticity modulus (E) of greater than 1.00 GPa and less than 7.40 Gpa. |
