<p>Provided are a communication system and method using an integrated communication program. A method for transmitting a message using an integrated communication system includes the steps of: determining a communication program corresponding to a user included in the address book of a device; displaying a message inputted to the device by a device user on a message window of the integrated communication program; confirming a communication program corresponding to the other party's device which receives the inputted message on the basis of the determined communication program for each user; and transmitting the inputted message to the other party's device through the confirmed communication program.</p>
