<p>A method for recognition of a presence of an infection with CMV in a patient by - determination of a level of CD28neg/CD27neg CD4 T-cells in a whole blood sample obtained from the patient; - comparing the level of CD28neg/CD27neg CD4 T-cells with a level of a control group not infected with CMV; and - definingthe presence of the infection with CMV, if the level of CD28neg/CD27neg CD4 T-cells in the patient is significantly higher than the level of CD28neg/CD27neg CD4 T-cells of the control group.</p> |
