<p>An aspect of the present disclosure relates to a steering system (10) having first and second steering circuits (18, 20) in fluid communication with a fluid actuator (22) wherein the steering circuits (18, 20) are disposed in parallel to each other. The second steering circuit (20) includes a proportional valve (30) having a load- sense feature (73)n in selective fluid communication with a load- sense connection (110) and the first steering circuit (18). The load- sense feature (73) is open to the first steering circuit (18) when the proportional valve (30) is in a neutral position and closed to the first steering circuit (18) when the proportional valve is moved to a first or second steering position. When the proportional valve (30) is actuated from the neutral position to the first or second steering position the movement of the proportional valve (30) closes the load sense feature (73) from the first steering circuit (18) and operates to deactivate the first steering circuit (18).</p> |
