The device (10) has a partition (12) slidably mounted on a support frame (11). An actuator (15) is connected to a cam (16) adapted to perform translation of the partition between a raised position and a lowered position and vice versa. A proximity sensor (25) detects a fully raised position of the partition. A control circuit (30) is connected to the actuator, a blocking device (20) and the sensor. The control circuit sends a signal of anomaly to a control unit (50) of an automated teller machine (ATM) in case of absence of complete closure of the partition in a time interval. An independent claim is also included for a method for management of a metallic shutter device.
