Process for decorating marbles and granites

The process makes it possible to obtain panels 8 with colourful and strong decorations in completely smooth and polished finishes. The decorative outline is introduced by means of a scanner on a computer and is broken down into different parts 4 separated by distinct margins. Using a pantograph, these pieces 4 are cut from the decorative material and a recess of suitable dimensions is made in the panel 8 of stone to be decorated. Finally, the pieces 4 are positioned and fixed in the recess by means of a cement 10 with which the said margins are also filled, the surface 11 obtained being suitable for polishing and also for the incorporation of small details and additional pieces. <IMAGE>
