The fixture is for a double window pane inserted from the inside of an interior space is esp. in motor vehicles. The pane faces are held apart at an interval, with resilient seals locking onto the panes from below, and with an intervening seal fitting against a flange on the frame. The resilient seals (4) are in the form of a peripheral U-shaped strip (5) of elastic material, the open side of which, facing the interior (10) is splayed by an insertable leather strip (9). The inner shank (11) of the U-shaped strip accommodates the two panes (1,2) in grooves (12,13), and may run horizontally. The outer shank (14) is supported on the trough-shaped exterior (15) of the window frame (8).
