NEGATIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL COMPOUND CONTAINING 2,3-DIFLUOROPHENYL GROUP, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF

Disclosed in the present invention are a negative liquid crystal compound containing a 2,3-difluorophenyl group, and a preparation method and use thereof. The compound has the general structural formula shown in Formula I. The negative liquid crystal compound has a negative dielectric anisotropy (&Dgr;&egr;). Compared with traditional liquid crystal compounds with a flexible alkyl chain as a terminal group, such a compound has a cyclobutane or cyclopentane terminal group and has the advantage of a high clearing point. Since the clearing point of the liquid crystal mixture and the clearing point of the monomer have a positively correlated relationship, the use of the compound shown in Formula I provided in the present invention can extend the application range of the liquid crystal mixture; furthermore, such a compound can also increase the negative dielectric constant of the liquid crystal mixture, thereby having important application values.
