The invention relates to machine building and can be used in radial support of a spindle assembly of metal-cutting machine tool for use as a lubricating medium for both liquid and gases. A proposed hydrostatic bearing comprises housing with radial restricting and annular lubrication injection channels, shaft and driving washer with radial restricting channels arranged between housing and shaft to make slotted restricting gaps with mated surfaces of said shaft and housing. Pockets are arranged on outer cylindrical surface of said driving washer. Extra radial and circular channels are made along edges of housing and washer. There is a slotted stepped restricting gap between washer and shaft. Seals are fitted between face surfaces of housing and driving washer. The technical inventive effect provides expanded active range of loads and better bearing manufacturability.
