The electric domestic maker comprises a housing (1) placing a container (2) designed to receive a preparation containing milk and ferments, a heating unit (4) associated with the housing, and a control unit (5) to control the supply of the heating unit. The control unit comprises a microchip (10) comprising a set of programs for fermented preparation and a control device to select the programs. The programs include a standard program implemented when the electric domestic yoghurt maker is electrically powered, and another program implemented by actuating the control device. The electric domestic maker comprises a housing (1) placing a container (2) designed to receive a preparation containing milk and ferments, a heating unit (4) associated with the housing, and a control unit (5) to control the supply of the heating unit. The control unit comprises a microchip (10) comprising a set of programs for fermented preparation and a control device to select the programs. The programs include a standard program implemented when the electric domestic yoghurt maker is electrically powered, and another program implemented by actuating the control device. The other program includes a short program presenting a heating duration lower than the duration of heating of the standard program and/or a long program presenting a duration of heating higher than the duration of heating of the standard program. The heating unit is powered for the other program, where the power is higher or lower than the power used for the standard program. The control device comprises a control member that is actuated to change the programs. The actuation of the control member is inoperative after a time determined from the connection of the electric domestic yoghurt maker. The control member selects the programs in a cyclic manner. The control unit includes indicator lights. Each of the indicator lights is dedicated to the one of the programs. The housing includes a heating base placing the heating unit and the control unit. The container rests on the heating base. The heating base presents an upper wall partially delimiting the housing. The heating unit is remotely arranged in the upper wall. The heating unit operates at present a power of = 50 W. The heating base is surmounted by a cap partially delimiting the housing.
