The present invention relates to an airtight container for food storage and, more specifically, to an airtight container for food storage, which consists of a main body having a storage chamber and a lid opening/closing the storage chamber, wherein the lid comprises an upper plate covering the upper end of the main body, a lifting plate installed under the upper plate and having a tight packing along the edge to be tightly closed to the inner wall of the storage chamber, and a handle installed above the upper plant and lifting/lowering the lifting plate. According to the present invention, the lid is able to be concretely fastened to the main body by closely adhering the tight packing equipped under the lid upper plate on the upper end of the main body of the airtight container to the inner circumference of the main body with a simple operation of swiveling the handle or rotating a rotary knob. In a case of separating the lid, the lid is able to be conveniently separated by a simple operation of swiveling the handle or rotating the rotary knob. |
